The project was realized for the exhibition "Dreams of Freedom. P.S", Tretyakov Gallery, Moscow.
The dream about an element. Once humans thought that they can tame the sea, curb the lightning and calm down the wind. Romanticist person exaggerates this game – opposes himself and immensity. Daydreams, lofty ideas, unique feelings – that's what the artists of romanticism talk about. But the element of nature cannot be enclosed in a frame, this freedom will endlessly slip away and run through one's fingers.
Dreams and visions take us back to a special place; we cannot catch what we cannot comprehend with the mind – just as we cannot catch a ghostly dream that speaks of important things. Only observation and peace are possible to a person, and the inaccessibility of infinite freedom, which is embodied in the thickness of water, endlessly excites the beholder.
